Congratulations to Troy Smith!

Troy Smith, PT and Owner of Indiana Physical Therapy was awarded the Certo Award. His nomination was supported by PTs who are practicing, who are active in the APTA and/or who work with Troy related to his support of physical therapy education. Additionally, Josette Rider of Big Brothers/Big Sisters provided a wonderful letter of support.

The purpose of this award is to memorialize Anthony D. Certo, a member of the Indiana Chapter APTA, for his distinguished service to the profession of physical therapy and to recognize and honor other members who have made a distinguished contribution of time, energy, and expertise toward furthering physical therapy as a professional practice.

Qualifications to be nominated are: Achievement in two or more of the following areas:

  • Professional expertise-clinical

  • Professional expertise-educational

  • Delivery of new services

  • Participation in the APTA

  • Commitment to entrepreneurial spirit

  • Public relations, political participation, and community service
